# Taste Your Way Through the City on One of The Best Miami Culinary Tours

![Miami isn't one food city. It's about eight of them, stacked into a few square miles. Cuban ventanitas on Calle Ocho. Peruvian ceviche downtown. Haitian griot in Little Haiti. Miami isn't one food city. It's about eight of them, stacked into a few square miles. Cuban ventanitas on Calle Ocho. Peruvian ceviche downtown. Haitian griot in Little Haiti. Venezuelan arepas off Coral Way. Tacos and dumplings in Wynwood. Greek mezze in the Design District. Stone crab on the beach.

The best Miami culinary tours exist because no visitor could reasonably find all of that on their own. Whether you book a guided walk or build your own route from your room at Upsun, here's how to eat your way across the whole city.

## Start Downstairs: Brunch at Bon Bouquet

>
> [Bon Bouquet Cafe (@bonbouquetcafe)'in paylaştığı bir gönderi](https://www.instagram.com/p/DU8p3JwkTbU/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)

Fuel up before you go anywhere. [Bon Bouquet](https://upsunhotel.com/bon-bouquet) lives right here at the hotel, where Turkish family baking tradition meets French café culture. Flaky pastries, serious coffee, a brunch menu worth lingering over. Zero travel time, and the right start to a long day of eating.

## Little Havana: The Cuban Heart of It All

> [Bu gönderiyi Instagram'da gör](https://www.instagram.com/p/DX9gm1Nio2E/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)
>
> [Versailles Restaurant (@versaillesmiami)'in paylaştığı bir gönderi](https://www.instagram.com/p/DX9gm1Nio2E/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)

Fifteen minutes west and you're on Calle Ocho, the most photographed food street in Miami.

[Versailles](https://www.versaillesrestaurant.com/) has been the unofficial living room of Cuban Miami since 1971. Chandeliers, mirrored walls, ropa vieja, and a ventanita out front where politics get argued over tiny cups of sweet, scalding café cubano.

A few blocks down,[Ball & Chain](https://ballandchainmiami.com/) has been on this corner since 1935. Live salsa most nights, a pineapple-shaped stage in the back courtyard, mojitos, and a crowd that actually dances. Billie Holiday and Count Basie played here.

Finish at[Azúcar Ice Cream](https://www.azucaricecream.com/), where the flavors read like a Cuban pantry: Abuela María with guava and María cookies, café con leche, mamey, and passion fruit sorbet. The giant ice cream cone out front is one of the most Instagrammed photo ops in the city.

## Downtown: Peruvian Ceviche and Old Florida Seafood

> [Bu gönderiyi Instagram'da gör](https://www.instagram.com/p/CFC2_z4Beme/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)
>
> [CVI.CHE 105 Restaurant Group (@ceviche105)'in paylaştığı bir gönderi](https://www.instagram.com/p/CFC2_z4Beme/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)

[CVI.CHE 105](https://www.ceviche105.com/) is the Peruvian benchmark in Miami. Leche de tigre, tiradito, grilled octopus, anticuchos, and ceviche that arrives looking like a still life. It's about 20 minutes from Upsun across the causeway.

Ten minutes further west,[Garcia's Seafood Grille & Fish Market](https://www.garciasmiami.com/) sits right on the Miami River, family-run since the seventies. Fish market downstairs, deck upstairs, working shrimp boats drifting past your table. Smoked fish dip, fried grouper sandwiches, and stone crab in season.

## Coral Way: Venezuelan Arepas

> [Bu gönderiyi Instagram'da gör](https://www.instagram.com/p/DctviPTNo7Q/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)
>
> [Doggi's Arepa Bar (@doggis)'in paylaştığı bir gönderi](https://www.instagram.com/p/DctviPTNo7Q/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)

Venezuelan cooking has quietly become one of Miami's defining cuisines, and[Doggi's Arepa Bar](https://coralway.eatdoggis.com/) is the friendliest way in. Corn arepas stuffed with shredded beef and avocado, tequeños, patacones, and passion fruit juice. Casual, colorful, and near Vizcaya if you want to make an afternoon of it.

## Wynwood: Tacos, Dumplings, Sourdough, and Street Art

> [Bu gönderiyi Instagram'da gör](https://www.instagram.com/p/DYINGcAmZFZ/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)
>
> [Coyo Taco (@coyotaco)'in paylaştığı bir gönderi](https://www.instagram.com/p/DYINGcAmZFZ/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)

Wynwood gives you murals and multiple cuisines on the same block, which makes it the single most photogenic food stop in Miami.

[Coyo Taco](https://coyotaco.com/) started the city's taco obsession in 2014 with hand-pressed tortillas, duck carnitas and a hidden mezcal bar behind the kitchen.[1-800-Lucky](https://www.1-800-lucky.com/) is an Asian food hall built into a warehouse: sushi, ramen, dim sum, Thai, bao, a record shop and a neon-lit courtyard.[Zak the Baker](https://zakthebaker.com/) turns out sourdough, babka, rugelach and lox plates from a kosher bakery where you can watch the loaves come out of the oven. And[Panther Coffee](https://www.panthercoffee.com/) is the roaster that got Miami drinking proper espresso.

## Design District: The Aegean Detour

> [Bu gönderiyi Instagram'da gör](https://www.instagram.com/p/Dc9L1CMjAy4/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)
>
> [Mandolin Aegean Bistro (@mandolinrestaurants)'in paylaştığı bir gönderi](https://www.instagram.com/p/Dc9L1CMjAy4/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)

Not everything in Miami is Latin or Caribbean.[Mandolin Aegean Bistro](https://www.mandolinrestaurant.com/) is a 1940s house turned blue-and-white Greek and Turkish courtyard, with mezze, grilled octopus, and one of the prettiest outdoor rooms in the city. Twenty minutes from the hotel, and the perfect palate change halfway through a week of eating.

## Back on the Beach: What's Waiting When You Get Home

> [Bu gönderiyi Instagram'da gör](https://www.instagram.com/p/DFsgRYlvwIX/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)
>
> [Stiltsville Fish Bar (@stiltsvillefishbar)'in paylaştığı bir gönderi](https://www.instagram.com/p/DFsgRYlvwIX/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)

You don't have to cross a bridge to eat well.

[Puerto Sagua](https://www.instagram.com/puerto_sagua_restaurant/) on Collins Avenue is eight minutes on foot: wood panels, loud counters, ropa vieja, and the cafecito that'll reset your whole day.[Joe's Stone Crab](https://joesstonecrab.com/) has been family-run since 1913 and is still the most famous table on Miami Beach, a ten-minute walk into South of Fifth.[Stiltsville Fish Bar](https://www.stiltsvillefishbar.com/) in Sunset Harbour does conch fritters, whole snapper and creamy grits. And[La Sandwicherie](https://www.lasandwicherie.com/) has been building French baguette sandwiches since 1988, open until nearly sunrise for exactly the night you think you'll have.

## Prefer a Guide? One's Two Blocks Away

> [Bu gönderiyi Instagram'da gör](https://www.instagram.com/p/DZsXJcjxgrf/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)
>
> [Miami Culinary Tours (@miami\_culinary\_tours)'in paylaştığı bir gönderi](https://www.instagram.com/p/DZsXJcjxgrf/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)

If you'd rather let someone else handle the routing,[Miami Culinary Tours](https://www.miamiculinarytours.com/) runs out of 1000 5th Street, a two-minute walk from your room. Their guides take small groups through Little Havana, South Beach, and Wynwood for Cuban sandwiches, croquetas, empanadas and cortaditos, with the history behind each bite. It's the easiest way to cover serious ground on your first day.

## Three Days, Eight Cuisines

> [Bu gönderiyi Instagram'da gör](https://www.instagram.com/p/DFyL9IkSu8M/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)
>
> [Upsun Hotel (@upsunhotel)'in paylaştığı bir gönderi](https://www.instagram.com/p/DFyL9IkSu8M/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)

**Day one — Cuban.** Brunch at Bon Bouquet, then a guided Little Havana walk. Versailles for lunch, Azúcar for dessert, Ball & Chain for salsa after dark.

**Day two — Wynwood and the Design District.** Panther Coffee and murals in the morning, Coyo Taco for lunch, Zak the Baker for a mid-afternoon sugar hit, Mandolin for dinner.

**Day three — Water and everything else.** Ceviche at CVI.CHE 105, arepas at Doggi's, then back across the causeway for stone crab at Joe's. Late-night baguette at La Sandwicherie, because you're on vacation.

That's the real argument for a Miami food tour. In three days you can eat your way through Cuba, Peru, Haiti, Venezuela, Mexico, Japan, Greece and old Florida, and sleep in the same bed every night.

Ready to taste it all for yourself?
